Corns are usually smaller than a callus (thick
hardened skin) and have a hard centre. They usually develop on the tops and
sides of the toes. They can occasionally be painful
It can be helpful to directly apply Castor
oil onto the affected area. You can gently rub the oil onto the corn for two or
three minutes twice a day or before bed you could apply the oil to a cotton pad
and tape it in place overnight. However do not apply anything to the corn if
there is broken skin.
Some advise to soak
the feet in Epsom Salts for around 20 minutes. This
can soften the hardened skin and may also help reduce any pain by reducing swelling
and inflammation.
Using Calendula cream can help keep
the skin soft and prevent formation of corns and calluses.
