Aloe socotrina (not to be confused with Aloe vera) is a useful remedy to have around when diarrhea strikes!
This is a good remedy when the diarrhea comes on suddenly and stool is passed very easily and quickly often leaving behind a burning bottom in the sufferer. Sometimes only gas is expelled – the sufferer never knows what to expect – they feel as if they can’t ‘hold it in’ and just have to rush to the toilet!
It is quite similar to Sulphur and should be compared closely.
Hemorrhoids with the appearance of a ‘bunch of grapes’ can be helped by this remedy. If these are present along with a hot and burning rectum consider this remedy
It can also be considered for use in headaches which come and go – with the leading indication that they are always made better by a cold application e.g. a cold towel placed on the forehead.
