This remedy bears some similarities to Ant c (both being derived from Antimony). It is also useful in stomach disorders. If nauseous the patient will feel as though a weight is on their chest. If they do actually vomit, this will give only short relief before the nausea returns.

It is an excellent remedy for coughs and chest complaints. In such cases there is often lots of mucus present. It may be or is almost ‘bronchial’. If Ant c is called for there will be a loud cough and lots of rattling mucus present. Expectoration will be very difficult.

Contrast this remedy with Ip in cough and vomiting.

Ant tart sufferers will not be as angry as those needing Ant c and Cham although there could well be some irritability present.
