Ipecac is a wonderful acute remedy. It is used for any condition in which nausea and vomiting predominate.

The Ipecac cough is severe and you must compare this to Drosera and Bryonia. The cough makes breathing difficult. There can be a nosebleed and retching and vomiting.

When nauseous the patient has lots of saliva in the mouth and feels as though they cannot vomit. Even if they do vomit the nausea does not go away.
