Think of how it feels when you peel an onion and you know which patients require this remedy!
The eyes and nose will be streaming uncontrollably. Lots of sneezing may accompany this.
Quite often the discharge form the nose will be burning or irritating. Some will have a red top lip or redness and soreness around the wings of the nose.
If an eye discharge is also present very often this will not be irritating like the nasal discharge. The eyes will stream profusely but are ‘bland’ i.e. non-irritating.
A contrast is often drawn between All c and the remedy Euph which has opostite eye and nose sysmptoms, In Euph the eye discharge tends to be burning and irritating while the nasal discharge is not.
Sometimes the nasal discharge is only from one nostril. But it will nearly always be a burning discharge if this remedy is called for.
