Whenever inflammation, that is red and throbbing (or pulsating), is involved think of Bell. If the affected part is also very hot this is a valuable confirmation of the need for this remedy.
Everything about a patient needing Bell will be pronounced. There will be a high fever or violent pain or a debilitating earache. If confined to bed with a fever, cold or influenza, when the covers are removed intense heat will radiate forth.
Symptoms come on quickly with Bell (Acon, Bapt and Bell are a trio of remedies that have this in acute illness and should always be compared). Interestingly with Bell the symptoms can go just as quickly.
Quite often sufferers needing Bell are better from lying down in a darkened room (their eyes can become sensitive to the light).
