This is another remedy that has an almost specific use in acute homeopathic care. Colic in babies (and others with the same symptoms) is helped by this remedy.
The colicky pains are cramping and cutting and are better for stretching out and straightening the legs. Babies can be helped by keeping them standing up and giving this remedy.
Contrast this remedy with Colocynth. Dioscorea is better from straightening out, Colocynth is the opposite and is better from drawing up the legs and almost bending double.
