Nowadays everyone has heard of Hypericum or St John’s Wort. However not so many appreciate its use as a homeopathic acute remedy!
It is a remedy without equal for cuts and lacerations, especially to the fingers or toes or the mouth (from dental surgery).
Where there are shooting pains from a wound or injury think of Hypericum. The wound will always be severely painful.
In a first aid situation you will often find yourself giving Arnica initially (for the trauma) and then Hypericum if pains as described above are present.
