Sufferers requiring Opium in acute situations will always be dull and droopy. They may give the impression of being ‘out of it’ (compare Bapt and Gels) and/or extremely sleepy.
All of the symptoms associated with Opium carry through this theme. If constipated there will be almost no desire to pass stool; in a cough the breathing may actually slow down; in feverish conditions they will be overpoweringly sleepy.
Drowsy, ‘out of it’ state
In respiratory conditions breathing slows when asleep. When awake they still snore!
